Bid To Win (B2W) Estimate Installation
Introduction
B2W is a project estimation application that accesses a database within the Artera domain to store documents and details for pending job proposal estimates and is in use by multiple operating companies within Artera. This document will go over the installation process to get it installed.
Purpose
This document outlines the steps to properly install and configure B2W for approved users. The steps will cover installing the software, configuring setup, and connection to the database.
Prerequisites
The device B2W is being installed on should have Internet access and internal access to the Artera Domain (VPN or within a tunneled office).
The device should be functional and up to date, running a current version of Windows 10 or Windows 11.
The agent performing the installation should have a reliable Internet connection and authorized remote access to the device that B2W is being installed on.
The agent should have these steps accessible for efficiency
Step-by-Step Instructions
The steps below should be followed as listed and in chronological order they appear below. If steps are completed out of order, the installation may be compromised and or fail completely potentially causing data loss for the user and the project being estimated.

Step 1: Download the executable installer to the user’s device from the SharePoint link here: B2WEstimateSetupWizard20.2.7657.26937.exe

Step 2: Double click the installer icon to launch the installer

Step 3: From the WinZip Self-Extractor window, select the “Setup” button
- Once the extraction completes, if prompted for additional required features, select the “OK” button
- On the Welcome to the B2W Estimate Setup Wizard window, select the “Next” button
- Read the License Agreement (you must scroll to the bottom to continue) then select the “Next” button
- Select the “Install B2W Estimate as a 64-bit application” option on the Choose Bit Edition window and then select the “Next” button to continue
- Select the “Anyone who uses this computer” option from the Destination Folder window and then select the “Next” button to continue
- Select the “Mobile Client” option from the Select Installation Type window and then select the “Next” button to continue
- Select the “Specify a first server and database for the user” on the Default B2W Estimate Server and Database window, then enter the following network path in the “Server and database path” input box: VOLT-B2W.powerteamservices.com\SECB2WEstimate\B2WData and then select the “Next” button to continue
- Confirm the installation details on the Confirm Setup window then select the “Next” button to start the installation
- Once the installer completes, the user will sign in with the credentials provided by the B2W Administrator: Jed Mercardante
Troubleshooting
Confirmed potential issues and their solutions to ensure proper installation
Issue 1: The installer fails to connect to the database or create a new database for the current user.

Solution: Ensure that the user is connected to the Artera VPN or inside of a branch office with a tunneled connection
Issue 2: The user’s credentials do not allow them to sign into the application following installation.

Solution: The user should reach out to the B2W administrator to verify their account is authorized and that their password is correct.
